A Legacy of Excellence
The Williamson Eye Center was founded 50 years ago when William N. "Doc" Williamson began his practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Following his legacy, all four of his sons went into medical practice together.
Over the last half century, the Williamson Eye Center has grown to become one of the largest medical practices in the south, including four offices, a surgery center, a laser center, 100 employees and
11 doctors.
Now recognized as a national leader in eye care, the Williamson Eye Center built the first eye surgery center in Louisiana in 1984, has pioneered many of the
cataract and implant surgical techniques used throughout the United States, and established the first laser vision center for correction of vision disorders here in Baton Rouge.
